This year we will, once again, join with the Marshfield United Methodist Church to celebrate the Lord’s Supper and Jesus’ “New Commandment.” This is a great opportunity to gather with our brothers and sisters in Christ and worship together. Pastor Alex will be delivering the message and the combined choirs will lead in worship.
Please come and worship with us!
Please hold the congregation of the First Christian Church in Owensboro, KY in your prayers today. The church building caught fire, likely caused by a lightening strike.
I can hardly even imagine what it would be like to have a church building destroyed. Yes, it is only a building and the church is really the community of believers that sometimes gather to worship in such a place. But, the space in which we worship can become (for better or worse) a part of the congregation. And, I imagine it’s loss would be as upsetting as the death of a congregational leader.
My prayers are with the leaders of the congregation as they seek to organize and plan for the upcoming Holy Week services while grieving and managing the loss of their facilities. May God be your support and strength in this difficult time.
Is “budget” a bad word at your house? Do you worry how you will ever pay off your car loan, your house payment, your credit card, and your monthly bills? It can be a daunting concept for all of us. But as Dave Ramsey says “A budget is simply telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went!”
Marshfield Christian Church will be hosting Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University starting on Sunday, April 7th at 8:45 am. If you would be interested in attending this 9 week class please sign up by contacting the church office or Ashley Crawford. Note: There will be a one-time cost of $95.00 per couple (covering materials/shipping). .

Here is the sermon from Sunday, March 10th.Lost and Found
This is a new way of recording the sermon. Tell us what you think… What can we do to improve it even more?
If you are part of the Focus Group for Pastor Alex’s seminary project, here are the manuscript and memory questions: March 10 Sermon.
Unfortunately there is no recording from yesterday’s sermon. It is time to change the way we record the services, so hopefully we will have something in place by this coming Sunday, and will also “install” a backup recording system.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I have posted the text (again, approximate) of the sermon and the focus group questions. Seek God
Thank you for your understanding.
